About the Painting

Rich hues of orange and gold spill from a purple vase, in this modern, impressionist oil painting. The impasto brush strokes create a rhythm of texture upon the canvas, an almost edible texture of colorful paint.

"Vase of Sunflowers" is an original oil painting created on fine linen board. The piece arrives framed in a gold plein air frame, to set off the colors of the piece.

This painting will be displayed in The Sunflower Collection exhibition, on June 25th, at The Erin Hanson Gallery in McMinnville, OR.

About the show: Discover the colorful world of contemporary impressionism through the works of Erin Hanson. Based in Oregon wine country, this modern-day master is preparing to release a collection of works inspired by sunflowers. A nod to the iconic visions of blooms by van Gogh, The Sunflower Show will be a celebration of summer color and texture.
