About the Painting

This painting was inspired by one of the side canyons off the Palm Canyon hike at Indian Canyons in Palm Springs. The light illuminating the far side of the rocky mountains, back-lighting the small desert shrubs and palms, beckoned me to scramble over a series of slick boulders to catch a better look.

This piece was created on 1-1/2" canvas, and it arrives framed in a custom-made gold floater frame, ready to hang.

ERIN HANSON is a life-long painter, beginning her study of oils as a young child.  Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms, and raw emotional impact.
