About the Painting

Hiking towards La Jolla from Torrey Pines brings you around an outcropping of rock and onto a quiet, deserted section of the beach. Magenta-hued rocks tumble from the cadmium cliffs above, and the the cool turquoise waters swim in the distance.

This painting was created on 2"-deep canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. It has been framed in a hard-carved open impressionist frame.
