About the Artwork
The flower fields at Carlsbad Ranch, in San Diego, offer endless inspiration for a painter. The rows of contrasting flowers, from white to yellow to orange, are captured here in thick brush strokes and impressionistic color. The white ranunculus flower (related to the buttercup) appears snowy white against the dark green leaves and yellow flowers beyond.
