About the Painting

The winter of 2017 has brought unusual weather all across Southern California. In the Coachella Valley, the snow line was dramatically low. As the sun set behind the San Joaquin peaks, the snow-covered desert mountains glowed brilliant blue and purple. I captured this scene as a backdrop to a grove of date palms, with a fiery sunset glowing above.

This painting was created on 1-1/2" deep canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas for a finished look. It may be displayed on your wall framed or unframed.
