About the Painting

The Texan landscape between Alpine and Fort Davis is green and lush in the springtime, the high buttes and rolling hills dotted with gnarled oaks and scrubby pines. Multi-colored wildflowers nestle between the long grasses, basking in the warming sun. The painting captures this idyllic landscape with loose brushstrokes and thickly applied oil paint.
