About the Painting

Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach is a famous destination on the Oregon coast. The silhouette of the enormous boulder stands starkly against a vibrant sunset sky. The brush strokes in this painting are loose and impressionistic, capturing the beautiful colors of the scene.

Sunset clouds are the epitome of nature's beauty. The transient nature of a colorful sunset, the clouds constantly changing hue from cool purple to fiery red, make sunset clouds one of the most painted subjects by the impressionist painter. No sunset is ever the same, and each time you see one, you can't help but feel awe and joy for our beautiful planet.

"Sunset Reflections" was created on 1-1/2" canvas. The painting arrives framed in a contemporary gold floater frame finished in burnished 23kt gold leaf.

Erin Hanson ArtistERIN HANSON has been painting in oils since she was 8 years old.
