About the Painting

The valley floor near the Zion Lodge has spectacular views of the canyon walls and stately cottonwood trees. This painting was inspired by an autumn hike after the rain, the cottonwood trees dark with rainwater, their leaves vibrant and multi-hued. This painting has been framed in a gold floater frame.

This painting was displayed at the Zion Art Museum (located in Zion National Park) during the summer of 2017, for the exhibition Impressions of Zion.

ERIN HANSON is a life-long painter, beginning her study of oils as a young child.  Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms, and raw emotional impact.
