The oasis pond at McCallum Grove, located in the sparse desert north of Palm Springs, wells up from the ground and creates a surprisingly green and lush environment amid the hot and arid desert. The shaggy palm trees grow closely around the waters, their trunks buried in the still pond. This painting captures the palm oasis with lively, impressionistic brush strokes.

This painting was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. The piece has been framed in a custom-made, gold floater frame.
