This year San Diego had another glorious wildflower bloom, after a very wet winter. This painting captures some of the yellow wildflowers that were ubiquitous along the grassy hillsides. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, alive with color and motion.

The beach near Newport Beach is pictured here in fiery colors of sunset. The wet sands glow with hues of orange and pink, while the calm ocean waters reflect the ever-changing colors of the sky. The impressionist brush strokes capture the movement and light of the scene.

"Laguna Coast" was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. The piece arrives framed in a 23kt gold leaf floating frame.
