About the Painting

The La Jolla Cove is captured here in vibrant color and thick oil paint. The early morning light casts an orange hue across the tops of the rocky cliffs and California palm trees. The loose brush strokes have a beautiful, impressionistic feel, alive with color and motion.

This painting was done on 1-1/2" deep canvas with the painting continued around the edges for a finished look. The painting has been framed in a hand-carved floater frame.

Please note: this painting will be included in the exhibition Erin Hanson: Coastal California, at The Erin Hanson Gallery, on June 24th. The painting is available for purchase now, but it won't be shipped until June 26th.
