About the Painting

Brilliant hues of dawn cast a red glow over the colorful landscape of Pebble Beach. The cypress trees, sculpted by coastal winds, create abstract shapes against the blue morning sky. Each brush stroke is thick and impressionistic, applied in a contemporary, painterly style.

"Red Cypress" was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. The piece has been framed in a 23kt gold floater frame.

ERIN HANSON is a life-long painter, beginning her study of oils as a young child.  Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms, and raw emotional impact.
