About the Painting

Rolling layers of yellow mustard flowers create a bed of color in this painting of southern California. The San Gabriel mountains appear royal purple in the atmosphere. The brush strokes in this painting are loose and impressionistic, and the painting is the epitome of California color.

This work was done on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges. It has been framed in a carved gold floating frame, and it will arrive ready to hang.

ERIN HANSON is a life-long painter, beginning her study of oils as a young child.  Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms, and raw emotional impact.
