Yellow wildflowers tumble down the hillside in this painting of central California, near Hearst Castle. The brush strokes are vivid and expressive, alive with motion and subtle color changes. This painting capture the emotional response to being outdoors in the cool shade and seeing a beautiful expanse of flowers under the oak trees.

This painting was created on 1-1/2"-deep canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. It has been framed in a hand-carved Open Impressionist frame. Read more about the painting's details here.
