Backpacking in the eastern Sierras, Hanson found the ragged mountains, winter colors, and long shadows an endless source of inspiration! The painting is full of loose, impressionistic brush strokes, capturing the fleeting late afternoon color of the high Sierras.

This painting was created on 2" museum-depth canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the stretched canvas. It arrives ready to hang without a frame. (Please contact the artist if you would like information on framing options for this painting.)
