A sweep of monsoon clouds gather above this New Mexico horizon, the purple shadows and distant blue mountain range a beautiful contrast to the warm grasses in the foreground. The impressionist brush strokes are lively and full of texture and color.

This painting was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. The piece arrives framed in a custom-made, gold floater frame.

This painting was exhibited in Erin Hanson: American Vistas at the Nancy Cawdrey Studios and Gallery in Whitefish, Montana, 2019.
