About the Painting

The eastern Sierras change color throughout the seasons, and the early winter months are some of the most beautiful. The mountain ranges have a dusting of snow that glimmer with subtle color changes. The foreground is drenched in rich hues of gold and copper, with green and purple shadows. Each brush stroke adds to the overall motion of the painting and the feeling you get standing outdoors in the crisp air.

This painting was done on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas, and it has been framed in a custom-made gold floater frame. The painting arrives ready to hang.
