A flurry of coastal poppies catches the late afternoon light in this painting inspired by the California coast near Hearst Castle. The thick, impressionistic brush strokes capture the impression of standing out-of-doors in the coastal breeze.

"Coastal Poppies II" was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges. The piece arrives framed in a hand-made, closed corner gold floater frame.
