About the Painting

Hiking along this wide dirt trail in Cedar Breaks National Park was like traveling in a different world... I felt like I was surrounded by miles and miles of un-touched golden aspens, glimmering and tall, so thick I could not see through them. All I could hear was the rustling mummer of their leaves flickering in the wind, as the first morning light cut silently through their branches.

This painting was created on a gallery-depth canvas with the painting continued around the edges. The painting will arrive in a beautiful hardwood floater frame, ready to hang.

Exhibited: St George Art Museum, Utah, in a solo exhibition celebrating the National Park's centennial: Erin Hanson's Painted Parks, 2016.
