About the Painting

Mosaic light covered these rolling hills of Paso Robles, in central California. This painting was inspired by a horseback riding trip through the hills in eastern Paso Robles. At the peak, I could see layers upon layers of hills stretching on all sides into the distance. The setting sun cast brilliant hues of color through the moisture-rich atmosphere, making each layer of hills a different shade.

This painting was an Artavita first place contest winner and was featured in the World Wide Art Los Angeles convention in 2014.
