About the Painting

An abstracted painting of Arizona landscape, this piece captures the view as seen through the criss-crossing branches of desert scrub plants. The dark branches create a stained glass appearance within in the painting. The brush strokes are loose and impressionistic, the strokes laid side by side like a colorful mosaic.

This painting was done on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edge of the canvas. This piece has been framed in a beautiful, hand-carved open impressionist frame.

This painting will be shown in the The Red Rock Show at The Erin Hanson Gallery, June 16th, 2018. Click here to view the other Red Rock paintings.
