After a week of rain in San Diego, the clouds finally broke, just in time for sunset to light them in glorious hues of orange and pink. The loose, impressionist brush strokes in this painting capture the fleeting moment of color, creating a sense of movement and texture within the skyscape.

This painting was done on 2"-deep canvas, with the painting continued around the edges for a finished look.
