About the Painting

A September morning in Napa, California, found this view of eucalyptus bathing in the warm dawning light. The distant mountains are purple in the morning haze, and golden summer grasses dance in the foreground. The brush-strokes of oil paint are thickly applied and impressionistic, alive with color and texture.

This painting was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the piece. The painting has been framed in a simple gold floater frame.
