About the Painting

Standing beneath this grove of aspen trees, listening to the wind rushing through the coin-shaped leaves, watching the sunlight reflecting from the glittering leaves, it was impossible not to paint this scene. I wanted to capture here all the beauty and sense of freedom one feels hiking among the aspens in the fall.

"Coins of Light" was created on 1-1/2" canvas. The painting arrives framed in a contemporary gold floater frame.
