About the Painting

Cedar Breaks National Monument is home to some of the most beautiful aspen groves in Utah. The bright orange and yellow coin-shaped leaves sparkle and jingle in the wind, immersing you in sound and color. This painting has loose, thick brush strokes of oil paint, the texture adding a sense of movement to the scenery.

This painting was done on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas, and it has been framed in a custom, gold-leaf floater frame. The painting arrives ready to hang.

This painting was exhibited in Erin Hanson: American Vistas at the Nancy Cawdrey Studios and Gallery in Whitefish, Montana, 2019.
