Warm morning hues of alizarin bathe the beautiful wine country region of Mariposa, just west of Yosemite. This painting was created using a limited palette of viridian and alizarin crimson. The brush strokes are loose and impressionistic, giving a sense of energy and life to the painting.

"Alizarin Dawn" was created on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges of the canvas. The piece is presented in a 23kt gold floater frame.
