After the first snowfall of November, Bryce Canyon looked spectacular in the early morning dawn. The sunlight quickly spread down the canyon walls and the day began to defrost after the sub-freezing early dawn. The day was spent hiking 14 miles through Bryce Canyon, exploring the twists and turns of the trails and the beautiful autumn vistas.

This painting was created on gallery-depth canvas, with the painting continued around the edges. The painting has been framed in a beautiful hardwood floater frame and arrives ready to hang.

Exhibited: St George Art Museum, Utah, in a solo exhibition celebrating the National Park's centennial: Erin Hanson's Painted Parks, 2016.

ERIN HANSON is a life-long painter, beginning her study of oils as a young child.  Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms and raw emotional impact. Her frequent forays into National Parks and other recesses of nature include backpacking expeditions, rock climbing, and photo safaris.  Hanson's unique painting style has become known as Open Impressionism, with hundreds of collectors eagerly anticipating her work.  As an iconic, driving force in the rebirth of contemporary impressionism, Hanson is quickly recognized as a prolific, modern master.
