Hiking into Canyon de Chelly I discovered this family of cottonwood trees nestled under the curving wall of the canyon. The reddish pink sandstone was the perfect contrast to the bright green leaves of the cottonwoods. The brush strokes in this painting are thick and impressionstic, creating a mosaic of color and texture across the canvas.
This painting was created on 1-1/2" deep canvas, and it has been framed in a gold floater frame.
